Object recognition for kids: TinkerPie sees cups, phones, people and pets
Object recognition finds things in the webcam picture and says what they are. TinkerPie Studio uses Google's EfficientDet-Lite model through MediaPipe, running inside your browser: no picture leaves the computer.

Tips for good results
- Good light helps. Hold the object so most of it is in the picture.
- The model downloads the first time (about 5 MB), so stay online.
- People are counted separately: object number is the biggest thing that is not a person.
- On the real board keep the USB cable connected while the camera runs: Studio sends the results to the board.
