IoT for students: Wi-Fi, phone dashboard, notifications and ThingSpeak with TinkerPie
TinkerPie has Wi-Fi built in. With a few blocks it becomes an Internet of Things device.
What you can build
- Phone dashboard: the board serves its own web page with tiles, buttons and sliders. Open it on a phone on the same Wi-Fi.
- Phone notifications: with the free ntfy app, the board can ping your phone, for example when a door opens.
- Cloud graphs: send sensor readings to ThingSpeak and watch them over days.
The simulator shows the phone page too, and really sends notifications and ThingSpeak updates, so you can test everything before you download.
